Andrew Carter is the CEO of Carter Medical Devices and the inventor of the Carter Cuff. He became a transradial amputee (left hand, above the wrist) as a result of an electrical accident as a teenager. He has been a gym rat for most of his adult life and developed the Carter Cuff after he looked for one and found that it didn't exist yet.

Andrew is an intellectual property and music affairs attorney at a major motion picture studio in Los Angeles. He has almost two decades of broad international experience in the entertainment industry as an attorney, artist manager, A&R executive, publicist, editor and journalist.

Andrew is a graduate of Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California, Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire. He is a member of the California Bar and the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom.

Away from work, Andrew likes reading, travel, healthy eating, and taking a day off to chill every once in a while. He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Kings, Oakland Raiders and West Ham United. Andrew is also a fantasy football enthusiast and a founder of the internationally renowned Wicked Awesome Fantasy Football League. If he listed all his favorite hard rock and heavy metal bands here it would take up too much space.

Follow Andrew's training and return to playing ice hockey for the first time since the 1980s at his blog Hockey & Heavy Metal.
